Your documents are yours alone
Every document you upload is encrypted with AES-256 before it touches our server. Your V5, your insurance documents, your MOT certs — scrambled with a key only you hold. Not even we can read them.
Your key, your documents
Documents are encrypted using a key derived from your password — a key that never leaves your device unencrypted. If you opened our server and looked at your files, you'd see random gibberish.

AES-256-GCM
The same encryption standard used by banks, governments and password managers. 256-bit keys with Galois/Counter Mode — which also detects if anyone tampers with a file. Military-grade is an overused phrase, but this genuinely is.
Collaborators too
When you invite your partner or mechanic to your garage, they get their own encrypted copy of your document key, wrapped with their password. Remove them and their key copy is deleted instantly.
Zero knowledge by design
We run the servers but we cannot see your documents. Your documents are encrypted with a permanent key stored in a secure envelope — only unlockable with your password. Change your password and the envelope is re-sealed with the new one. All your documents stay accessible. We genuinely cannot read them regardless.
